Tinnitus
Tinnitus and the Tinnitus Miracle System
Tinnitus is a surprisingly common ailment that affects 20% people who are between the ages of 55 and 65, and up to 250 million people worldwide. The manifestation of tinnitus is unique, and can vary greatly from individual to individual. The common aspect of all sufferers is that they have hearing abnormalities; they hear noises that others cannot hear. Generally the noises take on a somewhat continuous characteristic, so that the noise disrupts normal hearing and concentration. Over time, tinnitus can become very mentally taxing. It can affect one’s ability to sleep, communicate with family and friends, and work.
Sound Characteristics
Each person who suffers from tinnitus may hear a different noise. For some it may sound like a low hum, for others it may be a very high-pitched noise. The characteristics of the sound itself also can vary. Some of the more common complaints are of noises like whining, ticking, ringing, hissing, buzzing, beeping, or more specific noises like that of locusts, crickets, or even human voices. For some it is continuous, for others it comes and goes. Tinnitus may even occur for a few days in a row, and then be less prominent for a few days. For most people, however, it is constant and unvarying. A common complaint is also that tinnitus is more severe in the morning. The reasons for this are unclear, although it is thought that it may be due to changes in brain activity that occur throughout the night.
Who it Affects
Tinnitus can affect anyone. It is most common among individuals over age 55, but even children can develop tinnitus. It is found in men and women, and doesn’t seem to be associated with any particular education or income level. It affects individuals worldwide, and living in any particular area of the world doesn’t appear to be a predictor of the disease.
Why it Occurs
One predictor of tinnitus is exposure to loud noise. Ear damage that occurs after exposure to a loud noise can cause tinnitus. Thus, tinnitus is sometimes associated with hearing loss. The causes of noise-induced hearing loss can vary, from gunshots to rock concerts, and sometimes the damage occurs from repetitive exposure so it is difficult to identify one incident that caused hearing problems. Of course, hearing loss may not be directly associated with exposure to loud noises and can still carry along with it the risk of tinnitus.
Some medications are also known to cause tinnitus. Aspirin, some antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, and some psychiatric medicines (including antidepressants) may cause tinnitus as a side effects. Withdrawal from benzodiazepines (e.g. drugs like Valium or Xanax) can result in tinnitus as well.
A rare form of tinnitus occurs when there is actually noise emanating from the ear. In this case, known as objective tinnitus, the noise can actually be discerned by a doctor using proper instruments. This can be caused by a number of physiological ailments, like muscle spasms. Tinnitus is, however, more commonly subjective, in that it can’t be heard by anyone but the patient.
Drugs and Other Medical Treatments
There are a number of potential treatments for tinnitus. Since the disorder is so variable, treatment also tends to vary from doctor to doctor and patient to patient. None of the medical treatments for tinnitus are without side effects. For example, doctors may prescribe benzodiazepines for treatment of tinnitus. Long-term use of these drugs can have negative effects, however, and benzodiazepine withdrawal can worsen the symptoms of tinnitus.
Some doctors have used electrical stimulation to treat tinnitus, however the results are mixed and it’s not understood how exactly this treatment works. Surgery can be undertaken to repair the ear, but without knowing the exact cause of tinnitus this surgery can be risky. It might result in further hearing loss and isn’t guaranteed to resolve the tinnitus. At times doctors will recommend the avoidance of noise, in other cases they may attempt to use constant low-pitched sound to treat the tinnitus.
Tinnitus Miracle
There is one treatment for tinnitus currently available that has been shown to cure tinnitus completely. The Tinnitus Miracle is a system devoted to treating tinnitus without drugs, surgery, or electrical or audio treatments. The Tinnitus Miracle system was developed by Thomas Coleman over a period of 14 years. Coleman himself suffered from tinnitus, and after trying a number of drugs and enduring a four hour surgery, he decided to determine for himself a way to resolve his tinnitus. After 14 years of experimentation and research, he finally found a combination of therapies, practices, and diet that completely cured his tinnitus.
After discovering this method, Coleman suggested it to others who all found it to have the same result: it made their tinnitus disappear. Coleman took all of his findings and put them into a 250-page e-book: Tinnitus Miracle. The book describes foods that should never be eaten by tinnitus sufferers, vitamins that can greatly reduce symptoms, and even points out things like household cleaners that might be aggravating tinnitus. The book contains an abundance of discoveries that can alleviate tinnitus. It’s shocking to learn of some of the everyday habits and products that can make tinnitus worse.
Tinnitus Miracle is an enlightening system that will cause any sufferer of tinnitus to examine his or her environment. It is probable that, upon doing so, they’ll find factors that are making their tinnitus worse. Eliminating those factors can lead to recovery from tinnitus in as little as two months. Tinnitus Miracle is completely holistic, so the system is free of the side effects found with traditional medical treatments.
Tinnitus is a harrowing disorder. It can lead to a serious disruption in one’s mental state, relationships with friends and family, sleep, ability to concentrate, and proficiency at work. As disturbing as the disorder can be, often the treatments do little to resolve the problem, and instead contribute to it by creating additional side effects or even worsening the tinnitus itself. The Tinnitus Miracle avoids those side effects altogether, and provides a natural way to treat tinnitus quickly and effectively.
